Biographical Text
Martin Vorst is unknown to VD-16 and VD-17, and to CERL, as well. The BNF, where his three disputations with Sennert are kept, does not know about him, either. (There is a text by a Martinus Vorstius of 1601 in the Stadtbibliothek of Hamburg, Cod. 107.); his disputation with Sennert in 1600 (BNF) names his place of origin, "Holsatus", from the Duchy of Holstein.
